Even though no-one knows when lockdown will be lifted, we think that this is the perfect opportunity to start preparing. Especially as a phased end looks more likely.
We know that the people who planned for the event of a lockdown found the whole process of sending staff to work home a lot less stressful. Those who left it till the last minute struggled, and have definitely wasted time and suffered a bigger loss in productivity than they needed to.
Our brand new guide “Planning for the return to your workplace” addresses the three main areas that businesses must consider:
- Your people, it’s likely that there will be a phased end to the lockdown which might mean you end up with a mix of some at the workplace, and others still working from home
- The equipment they use. Laptops are still difficult to buy with limited supplies. But there are ways around this
- Your data. If you managed the switch well and your people have followed protocol, your data should be watertight. It’s a good time to check your data security has not been compromised by all the changes made over the last few weeks.
We know that the temptation is to put this off, especially if you’re at home with your kids, trying to run the business as well. But we believe every business owner and manager who spends a little time thinking this through now, will be really glad when the lockdown starts to come to an end.
