5 steps to creating a winning social media presence in 2019

It’s that time of year when we’re all thinking about how we can do things better next year.
If your business’s priority is to make social media work harder for you next year, but you’re not quite sure where to start, here are our 5 recommended steps.
Step 1: Audit your current social media presence
What’s going well? What are people responding to? Which posts leave nothing but tumbleweed in their wake? Monitoring audience reaction is always the key to creating more engaging content in the future.
Step 2: Think hard about who your ideal customer is
What do they want to hear about? Are you giving them what they want? Or is someone else saying it better?
Step 3: Create a simple mission statement
For your social media and use it to guide all future posts. What do you want people to think and feel about your business? And how can your social media make that happen?
Step 4: Make social media a part of your everyday work schedule
Doing something daily quickly becomes a positive habit. Actually, it’s better that you personally don’t have to do it. Best to delegate to someone else. Just make sure it gets done. Delegate the task not the responsibility.
Step 5: Create great content that your target audience wants to read and share
This is dramatically easier when you’ve done the first four steps.
