Around a million people lose their mobile phones every single year. Not only does that cause them a lot of frustration and money, if they use their mobile phones for work it’s a nightmare for their bosses.
Despite all the news about cyber crime, around a third of people still take chances with the data on their mobile phones. And that means that if they’ve been accessing your business data on those phones, so can anyone else.
So what can you do about it?
A “Bring Your Own Device” (BYOD) policy is an essential document for anyone whose employees work remotely. It will help you keep your data safe and clearly explain to your staff members what’s expected of them.
You’ll never be able to control what anyone does with their personal devices when they’re outside the office. But with a solid BYOD policy in place, you’ll be able to control what happens if they misplace them.
You can download our BYOD policy below which you can amend and implement into your business today.
