How it all started
Gary always had a passion for technology ever since he was a young boy, he excelled in Computer science at college and started his career as a programmer but he always preferred working with the technical aspects of computers.
Compex IT was born when a large precision engineering company enlisted Gary to help them respond to technological advances and take their business to a new level. Their success got people talking and soon after, other companies were asking for support with their own technology and IT strategies; not only engineering and manufacturing companies but a huge range of other businesses.
Word of mouth is a wonderful thing but there are only so many hours in the day, so it was soon time to enlist someone who shared the same passion and knowledge.
Mark had also grown up in Birmingham and had followed the same career path. Equally fascinated by all kinds of technology, he’d spent just as many hours tinkering with computers and taking bits of machinery apart and putting them back together again. It was only a matter of time before a successful new business partnership was born, and the rest, as they say, is history.
